⚘INTRODUCTION TO ARGENTINE TANGO⚘
A 6-week class series for beginning and low-intermediate Argentine tango dancers or ballroom dancers. We will begin with a brief history of tango and then focus on walking, partnership techniques, lead-follow, and musicality. We will introduce the fundamental elements of the abrazo, salida, ocho, molinete, and more to help students develop their technical proficiency and knowledge of basic tango vocabulary. Upon completion of the course, students will be able to demonstrate fundamental elements. They will have a greater appreciation for the music, dance, culture, and language of Argentine tango, and a deeper understanding of how tango is uniquely different from other dance forms.
