About Maria Castello and Jacques Saint-Cyr

Maria Castello and Jacques Saint-Cyr bring over three decades of international experience as performers and educators to deliver a uniquely comprehensive approach to Argentine tango instruction. Having trained in Buenos Aires under legendary masters like Mingo Pugliese, Rodolfo Dinzel and Pepito Avellaneda, their teaching seamlessly bridges authentic cultural traditions with modern movement science and musicality. Their distinct strength lies in a powerful interdisciplinary fusion: Maria leverages her degree from Argentina's National School of Dance and her credentials as a Certified Movement Analyst (Laban/Bartenieff) to teach healthy, organic fluid mechanics, while Jacques integrates his advanced degrees in music education and performance to help dancers deeply interpret and embody tango’s complex rhythms. Together, they transform tango from a sequence of steps into a powerful language of connection, empowering students of all levels to navigate in any milonga with structural precision, confidence, and musical grace.
