DJing for Argentine Tango with Marquis Childs

After many requests to share his extensive knowledge about DJing for an Argentine Tango milonga, Marquis Childs will offer a 2-session workshop series. This workshop will help new DJs understand how to put together a milonga playlist with additional information about hardware to play the music.

Since 2008, Marquis Childs has DJ'd not only extensively in Madison but also throughout the Midwest, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Chicago (including two Chicago Tango Marathons!), internationally at Tango Mayafest, and for several "all-nighters." When building his skill, Marquis learned from some of the best - including renowned DJs Shorey Meyers, Horacio Godoy, and Hernan Prieto. Marquis strives to immerse dancers in music that moves and motivates, so that all may find a deep connection with tango music, tango dance, and each other.

This seminar offers plenty of hands-on practice, so space is limited and a computer is required.
